Bruised
but not broken. This is one of two matching chairs, recently slipcovered
for a Sugarhouse resident. It's really hard now to find new chairs
this size in stores. Lots of new furniture is currently too
overstuffed and too big to fit in classic houses. The taller, tailored
skirts in the "after" pic add a more streamlined, contemporary
look to classic furniture. |

This
is a BIG chair--a chair-and-a-half, really. Like a mini-loveseat
for two people who know each other really well. It's made even more
inviting and cushy with new custom slipcovers in burgundy velvet. |

This
chair got its new custom slipcovers in white twill. The chair
was originally upholstered in plain muslin and the owner had lost
the original seat and back cushions. Slipcovered, all three pieces
are unified and the chair is completely overhauled!
(Cat sold separately.)

Whew!
The loud green and white plaid upholstery has been tamed!
New custom slipcovers to the rescue! The neutral fabric is a calm,
camel-colored microfiber- very soft, virtually stain-proof, and
easy to live with! (maybe easier to live with than plaid?) |

The
owner (left) chose cotton twill in a beautiful coral color for her
new slipcovers, which are machine washable, kid friendly, and conceal
that dated powder blue velvet on the original chair. (It may have
been your grandmother's chair once upon a time, but now it's really
yours!) |

Rehab
is good for you. All four of these inherited chairs had been shredded
by an ambitious cat who turned each one into his personal scratching
post....We rehabilitated them, restuffing some gouged-out holes in
the arms, patched them up, replaced two broken casters, and made them
some custom slipcovers in heavy prewashed black twill. These are our
studio chairs! |

Sometimes
all you really want are perfectly fitting, simple, casual slipcovers
to protect your furniture from Thanksgiving dinner mishaps. These
above in a prewashed natural cotton twill are casual, spill-proof,
kid-proof, pet-proof, and machine washable. What could be better? |
Bold
and beautiful. The client purchased fabric that had a big stripe
and repeating motif. The chair, underneath, had been a comfortable
favorite in a back bedroom but it was in really rough shape- too
ripped, stained and sad to bring out and use in the living room.
But the new slipcovers changed everything! |
New
custom cushions with removeable covers. We made these cushions to
fit the client's rattan chairs from fabrics she purchased while
traveling through India. Now that's something you'll never find
ready-made. Her chairs now will always remind her of that trip! |
New
custom seat cushions and pillows out of silk that the client purchased
while traveling in Thailand. (Yep, we live vicariously through our
clients- ahh, travel). Custom chair or floor cushions, any size,
no problem. |
May
we suggest custom chair pads to tie onto your chairs? |
New
covers for existing rocking chair cushions. The covers have ties
and snaps to keep them from slipping off! Lots of new and nursing
moms know how much wear and tear their furniture takes and new covers
freshen up your most used items in the nursery. |
Slipcovers
made from striped ticking fabric tie onto antique chairs, lightening
up the dark wood and upholstery and protect this furniture investment.

Unique
custom cushions for chairs give a one-of-a-kind look that blends
antique furniture with modern pieces, world textiles and artwork
in a client's home. |

And finally, yes... there's always upholstery. And we do some
upholstery. Please call to find out about availability and pricing.
In our current location, our workroom is on a second floor with no
loading dock and no elevator, so we'll usually only reupholster items
we can move easily. I'm showing you this vintage kitchen chair (on
the left) because we reupholstered it in Lumina, a cool hybrid
fabric, a sort of a love child of vinyl and neoprene. Best of all,
Lumina is irridescent and completely gorgeous! Click here

in our area! |
