WANTED:
Local costume designers / craftspeople / dressmakers in / around
SLC!
Do you really want to be the biggest
collector of your own work? We want to show you off and make you
famous.
Sell YOUR
custom costumes, clothing, masks, gloves, hats, jewelry, shoes,
wearable art & accessories in our storefront gallery/boutique!
We promote and support the talents
of our creative residents with a one-of-a-kind boutique dedicated
specifically to the wearable arts, adornment and costumes. We
also want your custom artwork, prints, cards and accessories that
echo these themes! Circus, carnivale, burlesque, native, exotic,
animal, vintage, Vegas, sci-fi, period, pin-up, princess and more...
are themes we encourage you to explore, but you are in no way
limited by these. Let's see what's going on in your imagination!
Our goal is to create a sort of local etsy.com right here in Salt
Lake City.
Hundreds of people can see and purchase
your work during monthly gallery stroll nights (third Friday each
month) plus every single Saturday during the busy downtown Farmers'
Market, plus during the boutique's regularly scheduled hours.
Our location:
333 Pierpont Avenue, downtown SLC,
1/2 block south of the Gateway Shopping Center.
This is the historic building, formerly managed by Artspace, on
Pierpont Avenue. Our neighbors and residents include galleries
plus individual artists of many types, many of whom participate
in Gallery Stroll nights by opening their studios and workspaces
to the public. This monthly event is an important artistic as
well as social one because the art galleries in the city open
their brand new shows on this day. A broad spectrum of our citizenry
comes together in the many Salt Lake galleries, eateries, coffee
shops and boutiques such as ours to mingle, discuss and buy art,
plus create the kind of community that you and I want to live
in.
Our business already revolves around
our busy custom costume studio which has a diverse and dedicated
clientele. Our existing clients (as well as the new ones who wander
in) will go absoloutely wild for for the costumes and accessory
items you can invent and create! So get organized now and bring
those items in.
Hurry! The next gallery stroll is
coming right up on Friday, August 15th, and you don't want to
miss the exposure and the money you can make with your creations.
Bring two printed pics of each item for merchandising and inventory
tracking, plus a bio and a pic of yourself is great if you have
them! We will promote you, encourage you, and feature your art
in our expanding web and local marketing activities.
Download your forms here online,
call us at 801-596-2210, or send an email to jen at mcgrewstudio
dot com.

someplace. 333 Pierpont Ave. (240 South). Pierpont is between
